Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-26. EVPlus.ae operates in the United Arab Emirates and follows UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (Personal Data Protection Law, “PDPL”) plus the applicable provisions of the GDPR for visitors based in the EEA.
What we collect
- Reservation data: name, phone, email, address, Emirates ID or passport scan, and payment receipts — collected only after you tap Reserve on a specific car listing.
- Service data: vehicle plate number, RTA registration documents, workshop visit history — held only while you own a car bought through us.
- Browsing data: Vercel Analytics + first-party Plausible-style page-view counts. No third-party advertising trackers. No cross-site fingerprinting.
- WhatsApp / email: anything you send us by WhatsApp (+971555671672) or to hello@evplus.ae is stored in our customer-conversation history, accessible to authorised EVPlus staff only.
Why we collect it
- To execute the import contract you signed — required by UAE customs, RTA, and our partner workshop.
- To improve which Chinese-market cars we surface, in aggregate only. Individual browsing data is not sold or shared.
- To answer your questions and follow up on warranty / service events.
- To comply with UAE tax (5% VAT receipts) and anti-money-laundering rules.
Who has access
- EVPlus staff: operations, customer service, and the partner workshop in Al Aweer for service jobs only.
- UAE authorities: RTA, Federal Tax Authority, Federal Customs Authority — when required by your registration / VAT / customs paperwork.
- Payment processor: a single UAE-licensed bank handles the escrow account; your card details are never stored on our servers.
- No third-party advertising: we do not run Meta Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, TikTok Pixel, or any cross-site tracker.
Your rights
Under UAE PDPL Article 13–18 and EU GDPR Article 15–22 (whichever applies to you), you can ask us to:
- Show you what data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your data, except records we're legally required to retain for tax / customs / RTA.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent to non-essential processing.
Email hello@evplus.ae with the subject line “Data request”. We respond within five UAE business days.
How long we keep it
- Browsing data: 90 days, then aggregated.
- Reservation + service data: seven years after delivery (UAE accounting and tax retention requirement).
- WhatsApp / email transcripts: three years after the last message, unless tied to an active warranty case.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies for session state (whether you have a reservation in flight, your preferred language between en / zh). No third-party advertising cookies. You can clear them from your browser at any time without losing access.
Changes to this policy
When we change material terms here, we will email customers with an active reservation or service contract at least 14 days before the change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page changes too.
